Our mission is to empower young people to become self-sufficient adults by providing a rigorous high school diploma program to youth that need extensive wraparound services to succeed academically and socially.

No two students are the same at AUL. AUL staff work collaboratively to understand the challenges, background and goals of each student and to foster a culture of accountability where students are enabled to reach their full potentials. We strive to build trusting relationships that allow learning to flourish.

Many of our students have housing and health care needs, while others require counseling to address emotional issues and substance abuse. AUL’s highly-qualified support staff – including a school counselor, social worker, nurse and psychologist – ensure that all students have access to extensive wraparound services that help meet basic needs (food, clothing, shelter, academic and emotional support) so that students can focus on academic success.
